Great coffee machine
Bought this machine yesterday to upgrade from my Gaggia classic.
The first thing i noticed was it is much larger than the Gaggia, and although twice the price, is 4x the machine.
Very easy to use, just fill the tank with water, switch it on and the boiler fills up. Put more water into the tank and your ready to go.
Its best to let it warm up for 30 mins or so, but will happily work after 4 or 5. You can run a dummy shot to heat the head up and thus make the heating up time much quicker.
Using this the first time i left my grinder (Iberital MC2) on the same settings that i used on my Gaggia, and for the first time ever i had a full crema, more than 1/2mm deep.
Next i boiled the milk for my latte. This was VERY quick. I use about 3/4 of a pint of milk, and the gaggia would take about 1 and a 1/2 minutes to boil it. The Cherub took about 10 seconds, and was actually too quick for my thermometer as the temp still rose when it was turned off.
The taste of the coffee was perfect.
This is only being used as a home machine, but would quite easily fit into a business that doesnt have a high turn over of coffee production.
I would recommend this, and believe its the best out there in this price range.
If i had any complaints it would be with the size of the drip tray. Its very shallow and could have easily been made much deeper.
